Developer used AI technology to make accessing the tool on the iPhone even faster and more dynamic. See how it works.

After ChatGPT became a phenomenon in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector, several companies, as well as many developers, are looking to integrate the chatbot with other tools and resources in the market. Everything to make the user experience even more practical and dynamic. Including Apple and its iPhone seems to be ready!

No wonder the latest news is related to the device. Developer Federico Viticci used the ChatGPT Integration API to create a shortcut that offers faster access to AI. This way, phone users will no longer need to rely on web browsers for help.

How does the shortcut work on iPhone?

Called S-GPT, the mechanism should be part of several well-known Apple products, such as the iPad and the Apple Watch. Thus, each person will be able to take advantage of ChatGPT's functions without having to make several clicks. To talk to the AI, it will only be necessary to select the shortcut, as a text box will open shortly afterwards.

There, conversations and any other type of query can take place.

To access the answers, consumers will receive a push notification, that is, those banner or pop-up alerts that appear on the cell phone screen and work regardless of whether the person has the app or website open at the time. In this way, the client will not lose any information provided in the dialogs.

Viticci details that the mechanism is not yet capable of receiving voice commands, only by text, but users will be able to ask questions of different “sizes”, without worrying about the character limit.

The functionality follows what is already present in artificial intelligence . With each interaction, the answers get better. It will also be possible to export text files, the logs, in full, which will make life easier for many professionals who work with content creation.

Indeed, the developer's solution is useful, however it still needs to go through more tests to evolve. The lack of voice prompts hampers dynamics in some of Apple's products. Despite this, the interaction can be well received, according to the notes of specialists in the field.

It is worth noting that the shortcut is completely free and already has competitors, who are including the creation of the OpenAI company in other resources, as is being done with Siri, Apple's virtual assistant and with the Perplexity Ask application for iPhone, which has similar functions.
